Firefighter of the Month
Firefighters are among the first people called to any emergency – and it is a call they selflessly rush to meet anytime, day or night. Whether for a fire, another type of rescue, or emergency medical services, the men and women of our fire services are there, serving our community in a moment of need. It takes a certain type of individual to be willing to rush into a burning building as everyone else is scrambling to get out. To recognize these heroes of our community, Advanced Drying & Restoration has created a Firefighter of the Month contest. Each month, we will honor a deserving firefighter who is nominated based on his or her exemplary service.
Last Month's Firefighter
Luke Weldon
FireStation: Springfield Volunteer Fire Dept
Rank: Chief
Nominated By: Doug Wheeler
Comments: Luke Weldon is the Fire Chief of Springfield Fire Department and April's Firefighter of the Month! Luke joined the station in 2000, but his history with the department did not start there. He is a third generation serviceman with the department, born and raised in Springfield. His grandfather was one of the founding members of the department, dating back to 1946. Service and dedication to the community are quite obviously family traits.
